Remote control of the laboratory

Creation of a tool to enable remote supervision of the laboratory. Combination of streaming: optical inspection (camera), machine results and reporting tool

Challenges

Lack of real monitoring (environmental parameters, operation of machinery and equipment, process conditions, storage of materials and samples)
Data listed on traditional forms (paper or Excel)
Complete lack of monitoring during the weekend, vacations, sick leave, random events
No recording of the course of adverse events (information only about the occurrence of the event)
No alarm on exceeding limit values or other adverse events

Actions

Enable management of images from cameras and other lab equipment using raspberry PI and Process 4.0
Connection of peripheral devices (cameras monitoring machine operation, machine output data)
Creation of alarm functionality (with continuous logging of the event)
Creation of an archiving tool (ability to configure the tool to perform backups at specific times, e.g., of the day and/or when specific events occur)
